Geous and would have done almost anything to protect Sorrowlynn To me Golmarr steals the show and he is the character that the story most benefited from having I liked Sorrowlynn but I adored Golmarr He is a warrior a horse lord a prince and an honorable manThe fantasy world is nothing really new but the author does a good job f creating and describing all Dirty Dozen 2 (12 Taboo XXX Tales) of the parts and pieces to the setting the history and the magic At first I was a little confused about why the Mountain Binding was necessary but the historyf the spell and the fire dragon was explained in detail within the story There are six I think six kingdoms that are all at dds you know the deal and there are different dragons that are not at peace with humans The fire dragon is contained by the mountain and a spell shared by the Faodaran and Antharian people but there is also the glass dragon in the Glass Forest this dragon becomes important On that note we do get to understand why the series is called the Transference series That s really important in the story I don t want to say why though The dragons are NOT human friendly dragons and that is important too I don t want to get into too much detail in terms f the plot because things will get spoiler y in a hurry BUT I will say that Golmarr and Sorrowlynn are not trapped in the mountain with the fire dragon for the entire book In fact they re there for about half f the book The second half f the book is interesting to me though there is a lot f important development character plot romance while under the mountain There is romance and it s sweet Golmarr is a sweetheart and Sorrowlynn is a kitten with claws Their personalities mesh well together Sorrowlynn clearly is no docile girl despite seeming weak and Golmarr is a fierce yet kind warrior prince The romance develops pretty uickly but the physical side f things is very slow burn There were a lot f swoony moments in the second half f the book I like how honest and pen with each ther the pair was Also no love triangle Something I like mention in all f my reviews if there is a love triangle r notThe climax is something that you see coming and there was a little bit Greetings! of dread mixed into my anticipationf the climax The ending is a bit cruel but also hopeful at the same time This book is part f a trilogy so I understand why the book ended the way it did It isn t a permanently cruel ending so I m mostly fine with it It could have been worseOverall I liked the book There were some thi Thank you Random House Children s for sending me an ARC f this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review These days that test you to your core they will refine you beat Tribeca out your weaknesses and turn you into the best versionf yourself that there is King MarrkulI was actually uite hesitant to read this book One Grey's Lady of my trustworthynline friends gave it Blue Streak one star so I wasn t that excited when the publisher granted my reuest However the premisef the novel intrigued me I really wanted to know why a princess would surrender herself to a dragon instead f marrying a so called barbarian The latter phenomenon hinted at a Feminist ideology that successfully
drew me in like a moth to a flameNearly every chapter me in like a moth to a flameNearly every chapter this book was so fun to read The writing style was simple yet beautiful the world building was comprehensible and the plot was delightfully fast paced As a bonus the female protagonist had an ironically cute name Sorrowlynn Given all f these factors I did not have a difficult time immersing myself in the storyThe magic system was another thumbs up for me I don t want to spoil anyone so let s just say that the nature f Sorrowlynn s magic is related to the title f this series Transference Compared to most f the heroines I had encountered in YA fantasy Sorrowlynn was definitely special She was physically weak but her uniue abilities made her a force to be reckoned with I can hardly wait to read the seuel and see her become strongerUltimately my main problem with this book was the romance Every time I updated my reading progress I found myself complaining about Sorrowlynn and Golmarr s constant flirting Initially I didn t mind their couettish banter but I eventually found it annoying if not sickeningly sweet Looking back

I feel nothingNothing for the characters nothing for the romance nothing for the story A little something for the writing but that s about itThis is your typical commercial fantasy YA book The heroine is uniue because there s this whole prophecy about herYou just know she s going to be the special ne even though she s not that intelligent r skilled at much f anythingI mean if she were really intelligent she wouldn t have chosen to die instead War to the Knife: Bleeding Kansas, 1854-1861 of marrying a forty yearld barbaric manI get it he s not the man Leaving Mother Lake: A Girlhood at the Edge of the World of your dreams Plus he s married already I really do get it But girl you didn t think about anyone else but your little self You know this tradition is necessary to keep the two kingdoms in good terms yet you care not anunce about thatBut hey we know that from the start since it s clearly stated in the blurb What is not stated though is that the love interest is ne f the main reasons why she decides to dieHe toyed with her terrifying her with speculation f all the bad things the wife f the man she s supposed to marry might do to her when in fact he wouldn t have married her in the end because those people are monogamous Stupid boy you saw she was scared and did nothing to ease her spirit So clearly I did not enjoy the romance between them It does have that insta love vibe also even considering the fact that they don t kiss until a good couple Introductory Algebra: Models Concepts Skills of chapters have passedAnd it really really isn t convincing Sorrow is pretty much a petty versionf Rapunzel since she s not allowed to leave the castle but when she s Marriage After God: Chasing Boldly After God’s Purpose for Your Life Together obliged to wear a corset she says she never has before Okay so there never was a celebration at the castle before that she was supposed to attend wearing an abominably tight corset I doubt itVery disappointed in this book I feel generous with my two stars DNF at 35%Blog Youtube Twitter Instagram Google Bloglovin Review postedn The Eater f Books blogThe Dragon s Price by Bethany WigginsBook One f the Transference seriesPublisher Crown Books for Young ReadersPublication Date February 21 2017Rating 4 starsSource ARC sent by the publisherSummary from GoodreadsFans Blue Blood of Julie Kagawa s Talon and Renee Ahdieh s The Wrath and the Dawn will devour this action packed fantasy adventure about a girl who chooses to surrender herself to a deadly dragon rather than marry an enemy princeWhen two warring kingdoms unified against a deadly menace laying waste to both their lands they had to make a choice vow to marry their heirs tone another The Gollywhopper Games: Friend or Foe or forfeit their lives to the dragonCenturies later everyone expects the sheltered princess Sorrowlynn to choose the barbarian princever the fire breathing beast everyone that is except Sorrow who is determined to control her Parafilias (Spanish Edition) own destinyr die tryingAs she is lowered into the dragon s chamber she assumes her life is It's Like This over until Golmarr the young prince she just spurned follows her with the hopesf being her hero and slaying the dragon But the dragon has a different plan If the dragon wins it will be freed from the spell that has bound it to the cave for centuries If Sorrow The Mirage or Golmarr vanuish the dragon the victor will gain its treasure and escape the cave beneath the mountain But what exactly is the dragon hidingThere are no safe havens for Sorrowr Golmarr not even with each ther and the stakes couldn t be higher as they
