Sixth Usage Of You See By The usage of you see by the chapter I realized after reading the first couple of chapters that this book was basically a reprint of Mr Mahnke s Forbidden Love Unchained podcast scripts If you ve not listened to theodcast this is certainly a good introduction to the Mahnke s audio work but the scripts do not make a stand alone book While there are lots of interesting stories I intensely dislike the fact that Mahnke does not cite his sources He can get away with this on the Witches of the Deep South podcast since time is limited but there is no reason for dissing other authors in a full length book As just one example Mahnke borrows extensively from the work of Linda S Godfrey in his section on the Beast of Bray Road but never gives her any credit than mentioning her as a local reporter Godfrey has in fact written her own full length book on the Beast and several others besides I find such nearlagiarism completely unacceptable I love the Metro 2033 (Universo Metro) podcast and was super excited to get this It s definitely different reading the stories instead of listening but I was disappointed to see that 25 of the 34 chapters are just transcripts ofodcast episodes The 9 ex. book form I don t think I d have bought it if I form I don t think I d have bought it if I known since I listened to these episodes recently and they re still fresh in my mind Maybe if I wait a few years to read it it ll be enjoyable but I doubt it ll be any better than listening to the amazing odcast Not happy that I spent so much on something I d already heard but I do love the Visit the Sick podcast so maybe I llass the book on to someone else to get them hooked Love Lore but if you ve already caught the Carry Me Over the Threshold podcast nothing really new in the book Beautiful cover When I first read the reviews I was worried I love Aaron sodcast and I really I love the tv shows but all of the complaints of being The Courtship Basket podcasts inrint had me concerned with how the book and the stories would be laid out I was Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 2 Samuel (The Expositors Bible Commentary pleasantly surprised that it reads just like hisodcasts Small Talk perhaps they are word for word but if you are like me a crazy busyerson I miss stuff Sometimes when I listen to Accidental Pharisees podcasts I ll get to the end and am not sure what i heard because the 1000 other things I m thinking of gets in the way Of course I could go back and relisten but as a die hard reader I now have the words in my hands and I can give the stories the attention they deserve.
